The SMTC & STC project creators have announced that they may retain SystemSmartCoin (SMTC) & SecurityToken (STC) rewards towards future ecosystem development and other cost related to marketing, liquidity, administration and management cost unconditionally on the discretion of the creator. They may also keep the rewards locked in the contract forever if necessary to support price appreciation by reducing the supply in the circulation. If the rewards locked in the contract then these locked rewards will and cannot come back to circulation again, thus boosting the price of the token.

Their goal is to support long term value of the token and creating a healthy ecosystem. They may also bring down the transaction fees to zero if necessary and any action plan will be communicated accordingly.
